USA - California - Napa County - Red - Still - Dry

Purchased: 1979 - $3.59
    (Yuppifino Collection tasting)

Color:  Young!  Deep ruby to garnet.

Taste:  Full flavor and body.  Pleasantly smooth.  First sensation in mouth is sweet - then deepens with tannin.  A slight hint of charcoal in the flavor.

Aroma:  Very potent!  Strong alcohol scent ((12.5%).

Comments:  Very full, heavy wine - very nice.  Perhaps a little more aging would round the flavors a bit more.

Food Match:  A very powerful wine which could hold it's own with pretty much any dish, no matter how spicy - from lamb kabobs, to a nice meaty chili, or even perhaps a lamb curry.
